It was a wonderful experience! The staff exuded love and compassion for the cats/dogs/animals at the shelter. They were patient and let us see and spend time with each cat or set of cats . We felt at home. Thank you to all of the staff and special woman who took care of explaining everything and sharing with us our experience of adopting 1 kitten and 2 young adult cats. We visited the shelter today to look around as we are interested in adopting. The shelter is very clean and organized and has a large variety of different-aged kittens/cats. We are not allowed to walk in the dog pen area, which is understandable, but they let us know they are getting a new transport of puppies soon and to keep an eye out on the website. Staff is very friendly – we look forward to going back soon.

I got two pretty different descriptions of this dog from the staff. Turns out both were right. We got a high energy dog that also loves to cuddle up and relax with us. We couldn’t be happier with our adoption. And they helped us out with starter kits and a loaner crate! My family is very happy with the entire process. I highly recommend adopting a new family member from here.

Thanks to Mt Pleasant I was able to find the perfect dog for me. Every time I went there the staff and volunteers were always great to deal and genuinely cared about the animals. I would highly recommend Mt Pleasant to anyone considering rescuing.

I’ve been a supporter of MPAS since the 90’s. It has grown since those early days. They have helped me countless times. The shelter gives great care to its animals. They all have their space, clean and cozy. The staff was always helpful and supportive.

The best Shelter Around! I have adopted 2 pets from them. The facility is very clean. The staff is very knowledgeable and caring! They know all the animals by name and you can tell the are well cared for. After your adoption is complete, you receive a folder with all their info. They neuter and spay and give their starter shots which is in their folder.
