Asociacion Protectora de Animales

Asociacion Protectora de Animales "El Pobre de Asis", A.C. is a bi-national non-profit animal rescue and welfare organization located in the coastal town of Puerto Peñasco, Sonora, Mexico. Our mission is (a) Enhance and improve our existing shelter for homeless cats and dogs with a variety of adequate and necessary facilities, including a small clinic, and adoption center. (b) Create a partnership with the local government officials to adopt state and federal ordinances regarding the treatment of animals. (c) Initiate and promote a spay/neuter assistance program with local and international volunteers veterinarians. (d) Start a humane education program in the public schools, to promote humane principles, prevent cruelty, and alleviate fear, pain, and suffering in animal.
