Tuzla Animal Rehabilitation Center
Not a shelter, this is Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality's Animal Rehabilitation Center which is used by 4 different districts with a shared protocol.
Rehabilitation Center means, strays don't stay there more than 2 months-unless they have a serious health problem. They are caught by center's team, brought to center, stay in quarantine for a week and then they get neutered. An earring is put on dogs which has a registration number on it. And finally they are ready to leave - to where they were taken.
