We have been rescuing boxers for almost 14 years now! Our present staff is made up of dedicated volunteers - some work, some are retired. Our dogs come from many sources - strays turned in by kind citizens, dogs from our shelters that are in danger of being euthanized, dogs from neighboring smaller towns with low adoption rates, who come to us because there are not enough homes in their towns for them all. Many times owners must give their dogs up due to divorce, moving into apartments where dogs are not allowed, being transferred. Sadly, in the last couple of years some of our dogs have been left behind when their families moved out, alone and scared in a deserted backyard. They are confused and frightened, and so very grateful when someone finds them! We have taken in dogs requiring surgery for eye issues, leg amputations, and needing surgery for dislocated hips, or with parvo, as well as deaf dogs looking for that special home.
