Yavapai Humane Society

Yavapai Humane Society owns and operates a shelter which was constructed in 1976 and opened in 1977. Funds for the shelter were raised from donations and a matching grant through the DuBois Foundation. The site for the shelter, on Sundog Ranch Road, was deeded to the Society by the City of Prescott for $1.00. The land will revert to the City if the Yavapai Humane Society ceases to operate an animal shelter on the property.
