Helen Woodward Animal Center
Helen Woodward Animal Center (HWAC) is a non-profit, privately funded, no-kill shelter. In addition to dog and cat adoptions, HWAC provides education opportunities for more than 7,000 children annually, AniMeals for the pets of homebound elderly, Pet Encounter Therapy for people in institutions, Therapeutic Horseback Riding for the physically and mentally challenged, a large-animal hospital, and the Club Pet boarding facility.
