Aurora Animal Shelter
Aurora Animal Care has been serving the citizens of Aurora since the 1950s. Aurora Animal Care was originally created to help control the rabies epidemic in Colorado by enforcing the state laws that required pet owners to vaccinate their dogs and cats against rabies.
Our mission is to balance the needs of people and animals as we:
Provide humane shelter, treatment and placement of animals.
Enhance and preserve the human-animal bond through education, outreach, adoptions and cruelty prevention.
