The Henry County Humane Society is a non-profit volunteer organization that finds homes for homeless and abandoned pets in Henry and surrounding counties. Some of the animals we adopt out have been rescued from the county run animal control shelter in McDonough, but most of our animals are strays, abandoned, or victims of their owner's relocating. We DO NOT have a shelter you can visit. Instead our animals are kept in volunteer foster homes that temporarily house and care for the animals until they can be placed into permanent homes. We hold adoptions every Saturday at the Morrow PetSmart (next to Home Depot) from 11:00am until 3:00pm.
