Retired Greyhounds as Pets of Illinois
Our mission is to inform the public that adopting a racing greyhound is an excellent decision. They're loving and devoted pets. Contrary to popular belief, greyhounds are obedient, and very intelligent, calm dogs. REGAP of Illinois, Inc. is an anti-race, not-for-profit adoption/rescue program dedicated to finding good, permanent homes for retired greyhounds. Each year the overly competitive greyhound racing industry forces thousands of racers into early retirement, often before the age of five years.
