Cat Association of Topeka (C.A.T.) is a non-profit, no-kill shelter for homeless cats. The shelter cares for approximately 60 cats and kittens in a primarily cage-free environment, with another 20-40 more cats residing in foster homes. C.A.T. provides adoption, humane education, counseling and community outreach services. On the premises is The Catty Shack, a small retail area which sells Science Diet pet food, pet supplies, and gift items for pets and the people who love them. C.A.T. also offers the Philo Fund and Lifetime Care Contract, offering cat guardians the peace of mind which comes from knowing their beloved cat will be loved and cared for, even when they are no longer able to provide that care. C.A.T. receives no government funding and is dependent on donations from caring individuals and businesses who want to make a difference.
