Heart of Jackson Humane Society

The Heart of Jackson Humane Society, Inc., is a society of volunteers who are seeking the best possible placement of stray and unwanted companion animals in Jackson County, Kansas. Although we have been in continuous operation since 1975 as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, we did not have a physical shelter until May, 2005. Our Mission Statement: The purpose of this society is the prevention of cruelty to animals, the relief of suffering among animals, and the extension of humane education.
