Our mission is to co-sponsor spay/neuter clinics in Mexico for companion animals. To date, we have completed 3 clinics in Ciudad Juarez for a total of more than 430 animals. We plan to return this March, 2005 to complete our 4th clinic in Juarez. United States vets do the surgeries and are teaching the techniques to local vets so that they can continue the clinics on a more regular basis. Additionally, we try to educate the local pet owners on proper pet care.
Ciudad Juarez is a city of an estimated 100,000 homeless and stray dogs and cats. Before our clinics, there were no spay/neuter programs in place. Our goal is to move to other areas of the world where the need for spay/neuter is extreme-generally areas of extreme human poverty.
