Second Chance St. Bernard Rescue, Inc. is a network of trained and experienced volunteers who take in, foster, rehabilitate, and adopt out Saint Bernards who are in need of loving, responsible homes. Dogs come to us from shelters, pounds, and owner turn-ins. We have a network of veterinarians who work with us to treat the dogs when they come into rescue and provide for their health needs while in our care. We know Saint Bernards! We screen potential adopters and do home checks to ensure that our Saints go to safe, appropriate homes. We also offer the same training to those who adopt one of our Saints and we follow up after the adoption to ensure that the match is a success. If for some reason the adoption does not work out, we always take our dogs back. As a non-profit 501(c)3 organization, Second Chance was incorporated in April 1998 and has been operating steadily since then. Although we are located in Minnesota we have also helped many dogs from other states when possible. We welcome new volunteers. We are always in need of people with big hearts who can help transport dogs, do home checks, help with mailings, and more.
