Polk County Humane Society
The Polk County Humane Society is a private non profit 501(c) (3) corporation governed by a volunteer Board of Directors. As a non-profit corporation we rely heavily on private donations to keep our shelter operational. All donations and adoption fees go back into the shelter to help the animals wherever the need is the greatest. With community support we are able to provide emergency medical care, spaying or neutering for all adoptees, in addition to feeding and housing them until they find permanent homes.
