The mission of Terri’s Pet Rescue and Refuge is to provide a safe haven and a
forever home for unwanted, abandoned or surrendered animals.
Terri’s Pet Rescue and Refuge is a 501(c) 3 organization. We house approximately
65 cats at the refuge. The organization offers 2 services. We rescue stray and
unwanted cats and offer them for adoption once they are spayed/neutered and have
been given their immunizations. Each adoption applicant is screened through a
written questionnaire and through a verbal interview to ensure that the cat will be placed in a safe and loving environment.
We also offer a trap and release program. This program traps feral cats, has them
spayed/neutered, given rabies shots, and then releases them back to the wild. These
are cats that are unable to be adopted or placed in a shelter because of their wild
nature. Spaying and neutering these cats before they are released will help to
control the population of feral cats in the future.
