Homeless Animal Rescue Team
The Homeless Animal Rescue Team, Inc. (HART) is a 501(c)(3) not for profit organization with headquarters in Valencia County, New Mexico, but operating all over the State of New Mexico. HART's mission is to protect and rescue homeless, abused, and seriously neglected animals. We rescue from off the streets, owner surrenders, and all state public animal shelters. Adoption shows are held on the first Saturday of each month at PetSmart, 350 Eubank, Albuquerque, NM, 10-3 PM. Two ferret shelters are members of the HART network. We host many programs, Companion Cats for Senior Citizens, a Feral Cat Spay/Neuter Program, the Last Litter Spay and Neuter Program, we publish the Valencia County Animal Shelter Newsletter, and we host the Cocker Spaniel Rescue of New Mexico.
