Humane Society of Rome
The Humane Society of Rome, Inc. is a non-profit animal shelter located in Rome, New York. We have been serving the needs of the Mohawk Valley and communities throughout NYS since 1956. We provide shelter, food, care, lots of TLC and medical attention if needed for cats and dogs on a daily basis for hundreds of homeless cats and dogs.
Although we are a small shelter we manage to do great things, and we thank all of you that support us through your donations or volunteer efforts. We are open to the public everyday except major holidays.
The main goal of our shelter is to find a good home for every cat and dog that comes to us. We have had some of our animals stay with us for over a year before we finally found the right match for them and their new family.
