Gimme Shelter Animal Rescue
Gimme Shelter Animal Rescue is a small, foster-based animal rescue based on the East End of Long Island. We rescue dogs and puppies from high-kill shelters in South and North Carolina, as well as from the communities in those states, spay/neuter and vet the adoptable animals. Then, when we have available foster homes, the animals are brought up to Long Island to find their new forever homes. We will adopt out-of-state, including, but not limited to, Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Massachusetts, Connecticut, Rhode Island, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania.
