Our ongoing mission, in addition to our role as a no-kill animal shelter, is to provide an effective means for prevention of cruelty to animals, to enforce all laws which are now or may hereafter be enacted for the protection of animals, and to secure, by lawful means, the arrest and conviction of any person violating such laws. On average, the humane society will receive and respond to almost 2,000 calls yearly, regarding animals. The society is a strong advocate for mandatory spaying/neutering of dogs and cats.
