Yancey County Humane Society
The Yancey County Humane Society is a non-profit private animal shelter located in the beautiful Blue Ridge mountains of North Carolina. We take all animals brought to us, strays, feral dogs and cats, and personal pets. We provide a loving temporary home until they can be placed in a permanent home. Unfortunately this is not a no-kill shelter so if you are interested in a dog or cat you see here please let us know as soon as possible. Our shelter hours are Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 12pm til 5pm, and on Saturday from 12pm til 4pm.
