Geauga Humane Society was founded in 1974. We're a nonprofit 501c(3) organization funding solely by private donations, foundation grants, corporate sponsorship and program fees, such as animal adoption fees.
The mission of the Geauga Humane Society is to shelter and find homes for sick, injured, abused and abandoned animals that have no other alternatives; to foster compassion for all living things through education; to reduce pet overpopulation through spay/neuter programs; and to prevent cruelty by advocating and enforcing animal protection laws.
Rescue Village is Geauga Humane Society's shelter and center for humane education. Staff and volunteers find new homes for over 1,600 cats, dogs and large companion animals each year.
