Edmond Animal Welfare
The Edmond Animal Welfare Unit operates within the Edmond Police Department’s Special Services Division.
The Animal Welfare Unit is responsible for the operations of the shelter, the humane treatment and care of animals in our custody, response to citizen’s calls for service regarding animals and the enforcement of municipal and state laws concerning the treatment of animals. Along with these responsibilities, we strive to reunite lost animals with their families and find new homes for the adoptable animals in our shelter.
