TWAIN is a NO-KILL VOLUNTEER-STAFFED, non-profit organization that rescues and places unwanted and abandoned animals. The orphans we receive are spayed or neutered (if old enough), receive shots, and all necessary medical care. They are then placed in foster homes, not a shelter, or are boarded at TWAIN's expense until they are adopted by animal lovers such as yourself.
As part of the adoption process, TWAIN does require a phone interview and a home visit. And because TWAIN is a small group of volunteers we do not adopt out-of-state, nor do we ship animals. Because of this and our commitment to finding the right home for our pets we need to limit our adoptions to Philadelphia, Delaware, Chester, and Montgomery Counties.
