Mt Juliet Animal Shelter
WE ARE CLOSED ON SUNDAY MONDAY TUESDAY
The Mt. Juliet Animal Shelter is a city operated facility with one director, 3 part time animal control officers, and many dedicated volunteers. We take in stray, abandoned, injured, and homeless dogs that are within the city limits of Mt. Juliet. We also take in owner surrendered cats and other small animals. We are unable to take in stray cats. Unfortunately, there is no state law or city ordinance against cats running at large at this time. Our animal control officers are responsible for responding to calls for service relating to dogs at large, dog bites, and animal cruelty. Our adoption fees are $75 if the animal is spayed/neutered and ready to go. If it is not spayed/neutered it will cost $25 plus the cost of spay/neuter at the vet of your choice.
