Montgomery County Animal Control and Adoption
Montgomery County Animal Control and Adoption Services is directed by David Selby and governed by the animal control committee. Our primary focus is: Enforcement of Animal Control Laws, Control of the stray animal population, Reduction in animal bite cases, Rabies Control Authority, and Public health, safety and welfare. Stray animals are held for 3 business days pending reclaim by their owner. Animals with rabies vaccination tags are held for 5 business days.(TCA 68-8-107) After the holding period they are placed up for adoption or euthanized dependent upon space and temperament.
