The Richmond Animal League is a non-profit, no-kill humane organization -- the oldest no-kill group in the Richmond Area. Its purpose is to provide temporary shelter and complete care to stray and abandoned animals until they are adopted into a permanent loving home. RAL also strives to decrease the cat and dog populations through education regarding responsible pet ownership and spay and neuter programs. RAL has cared for and adopted or assisted in the placement of more than 7200 animals since 1979.
