The Abilene Zoo maintains a collection of both plants and animals. The animal exhibits are surrounded by plants native to Texas, including butterfly gardens. The zoo cares for more than 500 animals that represent 160 species - jaguars, black rhinos, maned wolves, giraffes, black bears, lions, tiger, two species of primates, a diverse selection of reptiles, several aquariums and more!
