Animal Care and Control Center
The Animal Care and Control Center is this region's largest animal shelter, handling 20,000 animals (mostly dogs and cats) each year. AC&C enforces local animal regulations, serves as a large-scale lost-and-found center, serves as a large-scale adoption center, administers Jacksonville's inoculation-and-licensing program, and offers free services and materials in a wide-ranging educational outreach program.
