The League for Animal Welfare is a voluntary, non-profit, humane organization chartered in 1949 under the laws of the state of Ohio. The League, which has operated a no-kill shelter since 1964, is dedicated to the welfare of stray, abandoned, and abused dogs and cats throughout the entire Greater Cincinnati area. The shelter in Clermont County houses approximately 70 cats and 40 dogs. Not only are food, shelter, and love provided, but all our animals are spayed or neutered; all cats are tested for feline leukemia and FIV; all dogs are tested for heartworm; and all necessary vaccinations are given before animals are adopted into loving homes.
