WHS Pet Adoption Center is a 501(c)3 organization founded in 1983. In 1997 we built a small but beautiful center. We operate as a "No-Kill" center in Newburgh, Indiana. Since our opening WHS has saved over 4,000 animals! WHS has been the leader in our area offering alternative housing and care for homeless animals. Currently WHS offers an extensive healthcare program for all adoptable animals entering our shelter. Every animal is tested, vaccinated, wormed, bathed and held in quarantine for ten days. Once the pet passes quarantine every animal is spayed/neutered at the age of six weeks and older and Frontline or Revolution Flea and Tick control is applied. We were the first to bring Juvenile Spay/Neutering to the tri-state!
