Tucked away in the woods by the town of Ruth, Mississippi is a farm called Choctaw Ridge, where a group of volunteers with big hearts maintain a non-profit farm. There, mistreated hooved animals can learn to trust humans again. Some of the animals have been abused, and some where simply neglected.
Once the animals have been rescued they provide food, love and work on solving behavior problems while nursing them back to health.
Some of the horses never fully recover and maybe rendered unable to carry a rider or be bred. Thus on a working farm they would be considered "useless" (a term NEVER used at Choctaw Ridge Farms). Some of them make a beautiful and complete recovery. Once recovery is complete these beautiful creatures are ready to find a forever home, or live out their natural lives at Choctaw Ridge Farms.
