Established in Grenada, Mississippi in 1994, Project Hope, led by director Doll Stanley, is the South's most aggressive effort to investigate animal cruelty, to rescue and rehabilitate abused animals, to provide sanctuary for rescued animals, and to promote the enforcement of anti-cruelty laws. The Project Hope sanctuary serves as both a foster care facility for wayward animals and as a permanent home to over two hundred rescued dogs, cats, geese, turkeys, horses, chickens, goats, and pigs.
