The Doña Ana County Humane Society, founded in 1955, is Las Cruces' oldest animal welfare organization. We are volunteer-based and dedicated to improving the lives of companion animals in our region. We do this by working to change local rules and laws regarding animal welfare, administering programs that help get pets out of the city/county shelter and keep them with their families, promoting spay and neuter through both financial support and marketing, and educating the public about humane practices. Our goal is to bring about change and create a better world for our animal companions.
We are not a shelter; however, we do support our local city/county shelter, the Animal Service Center of the Mesilla Valley.
