The shelter is under the direction of the Northern New Mexico Animal Protection Society (NNMAPS) and is a private non-profit shelter serving the city of Espanola and Rio Arriba County in Northern New Mexico. We are dedicated to improving the lives of companion animals by providing shelter, adoption, low-cost vaccinations and spay/neuter surgery, humane education and other progressive animal welfare programs.
