Charlotte Cocker Rescue was started in 2001 by Larry and Donna Carpenter after rescuing our cocker Charlie from WV and Sam from Laurel MD. We were stunned to discover how many homeless cocker spaniels were in the shelters. Thus our rescue began the plight to save homeless shelter cockers in need of rescue. We are in desperate need for volunteers, foster homes, monetary donations to help us with the enormous vet bills and on going expenses of rescue. Our rescue vet is Cabarrus Animal Hospital for which we have been a loyal client since 1991 and they have the best vets on duty there. They have done wonderful vet care for our own animals and rescue kids for many years. All funds raised via our efforts is 100% used strictly for the animals. Our rescue like most private rescue groups is self funded by my husband and I with very little public support.
