We have 24 cat cages and nine dog runs inside. We rescue animals from the Harrison County Animal Control Center the evening prior to their being put to sleep and house and care for them until new, loving homes can be found. We have a mandatory spay/neuter policy with all adoptions to insure these animals will not contribute to the overpopulation crisis and senseless killing of companion animals. We rescue approximately 500 animals per year and place between 87% and 90% of them. We never put to sleep "just because" but only due to extreme behavioral problems or extreme illness.
