The Oshkosh Area Humane Society is a non profit organization incorporated in 1993. Our organization grew from a small group of volunteers that wanted to help the animals that were held at the city pound. Our group worked tirelessly and in doing so created a new excitement and awareness for the homeless animals at the city facility. Their lives were made better and more people chose to adopt and support the shelter. Eventually the city asked our group to operate the shelter and from there the Oshkosh Area Humane Society was formed.
Today the mission of our society is to save lives in Oshkosh and the surrounding areas. We have personally and openly pledged to never euthanize an animal because of space constraints. This is our Life Saving Mission. To us every animal has value and we are committed to caring and helping them to the best of our ability. We firmly believe there is someone for everyone and if given the time everyone will find a forever home.
